Car into house has homeowner searching for answers

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — An accident on the city’s southeast side Thursday morning has left the  homeowner searching for answers as to why a car left a neighborhood street and drove into her house.

According to police, the accident occurred just before 9:30 a.m. when a car for reasons unknown, left the street and drove into the home in the 6000 block of Amber Lane.

The homeowner was in the back of her house when the incident occurred and was not injured.  Police have also reported that the driver of the car was not injured.

No damage costs have been released for the home as the investigation is still ongoing.
