VIGO COUNTY, Indiana — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the lives of two West Terre Haute boys. Curtis England, 17, and Jordan Herring, 16, died from injuries sustained when their ATV stuck a tree.

A 911 call was placed on Friday, July 15, at 6:45 p.m. from a UPS driver who found the ATV on the edge of the road way. The UPS driver and one other person administered CPR.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Preliminary investigation shows that they were attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway when the ATV struck a tree. It is unclear which boy was operating at the time of the crash; both were wearing helmets.
