Google searches for “3rd party candidate 2016” up 1,150% during RNC

Google says it has had a huge spike in searches for “3rd party candidate 2016” during the Republican National Convention.

The search went up 1,150 percent in the past week.

Worldwide, the majority of the searches came from Missouri, Colorado and Michigan.

Other related searches included Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and “libertarian candidate.”
