CLEVELAND, OH – Many Americans expressed their right to free speech in Cleveland this week as thousands of protesters gathered in the downtown area.
The protests coincided with the 2016 Republican National Convention, and they primarily occurred just a few blocks from the arena where the event took place.
The protesters showed up on behalf of a variety of different issues, and they expressed their opinions in a variety of different ways.
The protesters made sure their voices were heard using signs, megaphones, chants, and sometimes dances.
Many of the protests were peaceful, but a few of them became violent and resulted in arrests.
Thus far, the Cleveland police chief says there have been 18 arrests.
