INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Earlier this month, someone bought a Mega Millions ticket worth $536 million in Cambridge City.

And while that person’s identity has remained a mystery until now, we’ll soon find out who purchased the winning ticket.

According to the Hoosier Lottery, the lucky Mega Millions winner will step forward Friday during a news conference at 11 a.m. The jackpot is the third largest in the game’s history.

The winner matched all six numbers in the July 8 drawing after buying the ticket from the Speedway located at 1589 N. State Road 1 in Cambridge City. The winner can choose to take the $536 million prize as a 30-year annuity or receive a lump sum payment of $378 million. If they elect for the lump sum, they’ll get $271 million after taxes.

The Speedway that sold the ticket will get $100,000.

We'll stream Friday's announcement live on FOX59.com at 11 a.m.
