INDIANAPOLIS–Metro Police are investigating the shooting of a woman on the city’s south side Sunday evening.

Around 6:30 p.m., police were called to South Meridian Street near Interstate 465.

When police arrived, they found a car with bullet shattered windows and a female driver suffering  a gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to Eskenazi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say the incident appears to be a targeted attack by a suspect in another car.
