Good Thursday morning! Another hot and humid day on the way with temperatures near 90 but feeling closer to 100º. You may want to keep the umbrellas handy if you are headed out to the State Fair with scattered rain possible today.
We have a few showers and thunderstorms on going this morning. The coverage of storms will become more widespread this afternoon with daytime heating.
Due to tropical moisture over the area any thunderstorms will create heavy downpours and some localized flooding is possible.
Any rain will come to an end tonight with the loss of daytime heating, leaving partly cloudy skies.
Look to the sky tonight and you may see some meteors!
Daily rain chances continue into the weekend with Saturday looking to be the soggiest as a front moves through the area. Some locations could see up to 3 inches of rain by the end of the weekend. Cooler and drier conditions return behind the front making for a very comfortable start to the weekend.
