Teen with autism found safe after search on west side

The missing teenager has been found safe, investigators said.


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Crews are searching for a missing teenager with autism on the west side.

According to the Wayne Township Fire Department, the 17-year-old disappeared in the area of 3106 Tinkersfield Lane near near I-465 and Crawfordsville Road.

The teen is about 5’10” and 240 pounds. He was last seen in the area near Pebble Point and Island Club apartments.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, the Indianapolis Fire Department and Pike Fire Department were involved in the search.
