The victim told police that a man, later identified as Neverean Jackson, 23, had offered to pump her gas. When the woman grabbed her purse to pay for the gas, he snatched it from her. The victim tried to get her purse back, but Jackson allegedly pulled her to the ground and punched her in the face.

Jackson left the scene in a newer black Chrysler Sebring.

Police have issued a warrant for Jackson’s arrest for his alleged involvement in the case.

Detectives urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS(8477).
