Police searching for vehicle used by suspect who shot, killed 16-year-old

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Homicide detectives have released photos and a description of a vehicle that they say was used by the suspect who shot and killed a 16-year-old in Indianapolis Saturday.

The shooting happened at a Conoco gas station on the city’s east side shortly after 10 p.m.

Police say the suspect drove a black 2015 Kia Sorento up to Theothus Carter’s car and shot him at the fuel pump. Carter then died from his injuries at the scene .

Detectives are asking the public to provide any information that will lead to the identification of the suspect or the location of the suspect’s vehicle.
