Indianapolis police search for man who robbed victim at gunpoint on west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indianapolis police are searching for a man who stole a victim’s wallet at gunpoint on the city’s west side.

Police say the robbery occurred on January 22, 2016 in the 3100 block of North Watergate Road.

The robber was armed with a small black semi-automatic handgun. He knocked the victim to the ground and forced him to give up his property, including his wallet which contained his debit card. The robber forced the victim to give up his PIN number.

The suspect fled in a dark green minivan with loud exhaust. He tried to use the victim’s debit card at a business on the west side, but he was unable to complete the transaction.

Police say he was seen driving a gold car leaving the business.
