Police searching for man caught on camera robbing southwest side Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a man caught on camera robbing a Speedway gas station on the southwest side.

It happened at the store in the 3500 block of Kentucky Ave. around 3:07 a.m. on Aug. 23.

Police say the man leaned over the counter and grabbed money from the cash register as an employee was opening it.

The man was wearing a red ball cap, white shorts, dark shoes and a T-shirt with “The Real American Roadhouse” printed on the back.

Police say the suspect fled on foot and no weapon was seen or implied.
