Frank Larkins and Diamond Miller

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An Indianapolis couple was convicted Wednesday for their role in the death of a 1-year-old boy in November of 2014.

A Marion County court found Frank Larkins and Diamond Miller guilty of neglect resulting in the death of Elijah Polk, 1.

Elijah was found deceased in their apartment in the 2700 block of Barbary Lane. According to a probable cause affidavit, he died from complications due to blunt force trauma to the abdomen.

Court documents say Elijah was hit in the stomach while he was in Larkins’ care. The child was reportedly throwing up for two days, but the couple never took him to a doctor.

Larkins was also found guilty of battery resulting in death. He and Miller will be sentenced on September 23.
