2 men sent to Eskenazi Hospital after being shot on southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two men were shot on the city’s southwest side Saturday evening.

Police say the shooting happened behind a house in the 2800 block of South Rybolt Avenue around 6:15 p.m.

Officers on scene say one victim was shot in the neck, while the other was shot in the leg. Both of the men were taken to Eskenazi Hospital. One was in critical condition and the other was stable, with non-life threatening injuries.

With the assistance of witnesses in the area, officers were directed to the 2800 block of Collier Street, where they detained a person of interest.
