IMPD locates missing 65-year-old man in need of medical assistance

Update (September 5, 2016) — The missing man was safely located.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing man who may be in danger and in need of  immediate medical assistance.

Officers say Michael Carrell, 65, was last seen Saturday around 5:30 p.m. at an assisted care facility in the 3500 block of Shelby Street on the city’s south side.

We are told Carrell is 6’3” tall, 188 pounds, with blue eyes and brown balding hair. He was last seen wearing glasses, a blue short sleeve shirt, blue jeans and using a walker.

You’re asked to call 911 immediately if you come across Carrel.
