Victim found in near east side alley dies, becomes city’s 100th murder of 2016

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A victim who was found with a severe wound to his head on the near east side Thursday has died and has subsequently become Indianapolis’ 100th murder victim of the year.

Police confirm that they are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Officers found the victim, later identified as Mihamed DuKuly, 30, in an alley in the 1400 block of East New York Street around 10 p.m. He was transported to  Eskenazi Hospital in “very critical condition” and succumbed to his injuries Friday.
