ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. – A wanted man who taunted Georgia deputies on Facebook ended up in handcuffs and on the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page.

Sergio Batchelor was wanted in connection with burglaries in Rockdale and DeKalb counties. Deputies were on his trail, but Batchelor posted on Facebook about the pursuit and wrote that he was “at home if y’all want me.”

As it turns out, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Search Team found Batchelor at a home in DeKalb County and arrested him with help from local law enforcement. Investigators had spent a month looking for him.

“Mess with the bull, you get the horns,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Sept. 8 Facebook post announcing Batchelor’s arrest.

Investigators said a search turned up evidence from multiple burglaries, including one from the night before Batchelor was caught.
