INDIANAPOLIS – Wayne Township firefighters spent the early hours of the morning battling flames at a vacant business on Indy’s southwest side.

Crews were called to the former home of Hoosier Wood Preservers near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and South Holt Road just after 1:30 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they say the building was fully engulfed in flames. They were able to get the fire under control in about forty-five minutes.

Officials do not believe anyone was inside the building at the time the fire started and say there were no injuries.

According to the fire department, crews were called to this building for another fire a little less than two years ago.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
