LAWRENCE, Ind. – Lawrence police are asking the public to help them identify a man wanted in connection with a robbery.

At around 9:10 p.m. on Sept. 4, the man entered the Marsh store at 5104 Franklin Rd., where he approached the register as if he was about to make a purchase. When the employee opened the cash drawer to get change, the man leaned on the counter and demanded money.

“I’ll need all the money out of the register,” he said. “I don’t want to get violent, but I have a gun.”

After taking the money, he left the business. He didn’t display a firearm, police said, and only implied that he was carrying one.
