FasTrack Mechanical Play of the Week nominees for September 16, 2016 (WXIN).

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – From all the prep football action we saw Friday night across Central Indiana, two plays stood out above the rest. They are nominees for the FasTrack Mechanical Play of the Week, and your vote will determine the winner.

In a back-and-forth, high scoring game between Warren Central and Ben Davis, every play felt like it could decide the outcome. The Warriors decided to get tricky, as quarterback Zach Summeier tossed the ball to Tristen Tonte, who in turn flicked it back to Summeier, who hurled it deep downfield into the waiting arms of Daijour Griffie. The perfectly executed flea flicker was part of a 35-34 Warren Central win over Ben Davis.

The Bulldogs entered their road game at Fishers with a perfect 4-0 record, but it would go down to the wire to determine if they would remain unscathed for the season. Trailing 10-7 late in the fourth quarter, Brownsburg had the ball just outside the red zone. Quarterback Hunter Johnson took the snap, found his running back Carson Gill on a screen pass, and Gill did the rest, knifing through the Tigers' defense, into the end zone for the go-ahead score. Brownsburg would beat Fishers 14-10 to remain undefeated at 5-0 on the season.
