Police searching for shooter after teenager injured in drive-by shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police say a 19-year-old male is in serious condition after being shot in a drive-by on the near east side.

Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Dawson Street just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. When they arrived they found a male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to Eskanazi Hospital.

Detectives are seeking assistance in locating a suspect vehicle believed to be involved in the drive-by shooting.

The suspect vehicle was described as either a white four-door sedan or a white Cadillac Escalade. Anyone with info on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (317)262-TIPS(8477).
