INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indianapolis Metropolitan police arrested three people during a bust at a barbershop that netted cash, marijuana and a pair of vehicles.

IMPD Northwest District Narcotics and Vice detectives served a search warrant Tuesday afternoon at “Word of Mouf” barbershop, 3851 N. Kevin Way, after their investigation led them to believe drugs were being sold out of the business.

Police arrested Dorian Benefield, 31, Najee Jackson, 25, and Jonte Ford, 34, after questioning them. The three men face several charges ranging from dealing narcotics to maintaining a common nuisance.

Police seized $3,278 in cash and 667 grams of marijuana. Two vehicles were held for forfeiture, police said.

IMPD said its Nuisance Abatement Unit would conduct a follow-up investigation into the business and its practices.
