Two men arrested for illegal alcohol sales out of their home

INDIANAPOLIS –Indiana State Excise Police Officers arrested two Indianapolis men Sunday afternoon following complaints of illegal alcohol sales in their near northeast side residence.

Excise Officers and State Police executed a search warrant on a residence in the 3100 block of North Tacoma Avenue.

Officers seized 805 cans of various brands of beer and 418 bottles of various brands of liquor.

Also seized were three handguns, a shotgun, $4,778.00 in cash, and an undisclosed amount of marijuana.

75-year-old Mossy Ivy and 37-year-old Dwayne A. Ivy were arrested on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, unauthorized alcoholic beverage sales, and sale of untaxed alcoholic beverages.

Investigators say the pair can expect to face additional charges once their investigation is complete.

Both men were booked into the Marion County jail.
