Second Helpings offers free culinary job training to central Indiana residents
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Unemployed or underemployed adults in central Indiana can receive free culinary job training through Second Helpings.
Second helpings is an organization that rescues prepared and perishable food, prepares it into nutritious meals, and distributes those meals to 80 social services organizations that feed hungry people.
Since its founding in 1998, they have also trained over 600 adults in their Culinary Job Training Program.
And next month, they are starting a new seven-week culinary job training course. According to Second Helpings, the free course will help adults learn culinary skills to change their lives.
They will offer three information sessions this month for anyone who would like to learn more about the program.
The sessions are located at Second Helpings in the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Center, 1121 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202.
The dates are:
- Thursday, October 13 at 2 p.m.
- Monday, October 17 at 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 25 at 10 a.m.
