Person struck on scooter on far west side crash

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indianapolis Metropolitan police are still investigating an early Tuesday morning accident involving a car and a scooter on the city’s far west side, along West Washington Street near Belleview Place, which is just west of Washington High School.


According to police, the driver of the car was heading eastbound on Washington Street just before 6 a.m. and was attempting to turn left onto Belleview Place when the person on the scooter, who had been traveling northbound on Belleview Place, was struck.

Police are reporting that both operators of the car and scooter were properly lit and were operating in a legal manner.


No one sustained any serious injury as police are continuing their investigation.
