INDIANAPOLIS - A surprising new poll is make waves in Indiana politics, with more than three weeks until the November election.
The Monmouth University Polling Institute released their latest Indiana poll on Friday, showing Donald Trump with a four-point lead over Hillary Clinton (45-41) in the Hoosier State, within the poll's margin of error.
More surprisingly, it showed Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Gregg with a 12-point lead over Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb (50 percent to 38), a polling advantage that Holcomb's campaign described as "an outlier."
The same poll also showed former Indiana senator Evan Bayh with a six-point lead over Rep. Todd Young (R-IN) in the race for Indiana's open Senate seat.
In the video above, we break down the latest numbers, and talk with the director of the Monmouth Poll, Patrick Murray.
