Areas of rain will continue through the day, as clouds linger and the wind begins to increase from the northwest! This will not be a pretty day but at least the severe weather has now moved on to the southeast U.S. Colder air will settle in later today and into tonight, as rain coverage begins to lessen.
Friday's forecast looks much drier, but a few showers will still linger and even some patchy drizzle could start our morning. The chill will linger under low clouds and temperatures will be running 10° below average! More stable air will begin to build in by Friday night.
As the clouds clear and winds slacken, temperatures will drop rapidly. Areas of frost look likely away from downtown Saturday morning before bright sunshine returns to the state. Here is your seven day extended forecast:
