INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- IMPD has released a sketch of a man accused of sexually assaulting women on the north side.

So far, detectives have been able to connect possibly five crimes to the suspect.

"I have goosebumps and cringe," said Sherry Gibson, a tenant.

In the past three months, two sexual assaults and a break-in have been reported at the Carlyle Court Apartments. In each of the cases, the suspect got inside the apartments through an unlocked patio door.  All the victims are women who live alone.

"It is scary," said Patrica McKinney, a tenant.

Detectives believe the the same guy is also responsible for two sexual assaults at the Ashton Brook Apartments, which is right next to Carlyle Court Apartments. The Ashton Brook assaults were reported in 2013 and 2015.  IMPD held a community meeting last year and the crimes stopped, until recently.

"It’s a harden criminal, he’s not gonna stop," said Gibson.

Wednesday night, IMPD held a community meeting at Carlyle Court Apartments.  Detectives gave tenants a flyer with a sketch and description of the suspect.  He's described as being possibly Hispanic, approximately 30-years-old and 5'6" tall. The man has a stubble beard, medium build and short hair.

"Better to know what I'm looking for than to not," said McKinney.

Detectives say all of the crimes happened in the early morning hours.  Until the suspect is caught, police are warning everyone to be extra careful.

IMPD is increasing patrols in the area and Carmel police are also assisting.  If you recognize the suspect, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 262-TIPS.
