INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- You can pay it forward and help Indiana State Police get some life-saving equipment, and this year, there's a new way to help out.

The "Bolt for the Heart" 5K run and walk will take place at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day at the Palladium Center Green in Carmel. Last year, the funds raised during the event allowed ISP to purchase 15 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for their patrol car.

This year, you can also help raise money by entering a virtual race that can be completed anywhere and on your schedule. For more information and to sign up, click here.
