INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Many Hoosiers in central Indiana reported serious delays at their polling place, and it wasn’t because of long lines.

Voting was completely stopped at many precincts as volunteers cross-checked absentee ballots.

Clarke says he was trying to vote this morning at 6:05 am on South Arlington in Franklin Township. There were only four people in front of him. He waited until 8 a.m. to vote, but he had to leave because he had to be at work in Plainfield by 9 a.m.

He says the entire time he waited, no one voted because volunteers were counting absentee ballots.

The Marion County Deputy Clerk confirms Clarke’s location had a significant delay after the courier delivered updated absentee ballot voter rolls.
