Republican Curtis Hill wins Indiana race for attorney general

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Republican prosecutor Curtis Hill from Elkhart County has won Indiana’s race for attorney general.

He defeated Democrat Lorenzo Arredondo, a retired judge from northwestern Indiana’s Lake County.

Hill served four terms as Elkhart County’s top prosecutor.

When he became the Republican party’s nominee for attorney general in June, he told delegates he will fight to protect Indiana residents from “an alarming rise” in substance abuse and violence and will oppose “any and all” overreach by the federal government.
