Sonora Wong pleaded guilty on June 22, 2017. She was sentenced to six years, all suspended to probation.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. – Police in Putnam County arrested a woman after finding 100 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.

This morning at 8:45 a.m. a trooper stopped a Toyota SUV for violations of unsafe lane movement and following too close near the 41 mile marker of eastbound Interstate 70.

During conversations with the driver, the trooper noticed indicators of possible criminal activity.

The trooper searched the vehicle’s cargo area and found approximately 100 pounds of marijuana in 84 individual packages, each ranging approximately one to five pounds. The trooper also found $6000.

Sonora Wong, 24, of Garden Grove, California, was arrested on charges of dealing marijuana over 10 pounds and possession of marijuana. She was taken to the Putnam County Jail.
