INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A day after returning home to Indiana, Vice President-elect Mike Pence celebrated Veterans Day at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh.
On Thursday, the governor spent much of his day in Washington for high-level meetings as the country prepares to transition from Barack Obama’s administration to Donald Trump’s. Pence flew back to Indiana Thursday night for a welcome home rally.
During Friday’s Veterans Day ceremony, representatives from the Indiana National Guard and Indiana Department of Veterans’ Affairs joined the governor.
Pence said he and Trump would make it a priority to improve Veterans Affairs and get veterans the world-class health care they deserve.
