INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — An Indianapolis grandfather is the latest Hoosier Lotto jackpot winner raking in an estimated $6.5 million

John N. has lived in Indianapolis for 57 years, and he retired from Eli Lilly after 38 years. He has a son, a daughter, and two adult grandchildren. He loves to travel, and five years ago he took the scenic route to Alaska, driving 4,200 miles from Indianapolis just for fun.

John plays Hoosier Lotto off and on for fun, and Wednesday he hit the estimated $6.5 million jackpot. He purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket from Phillips 66 located at 3301 North Shadeland Avenue. He found out he won when he stopped into a retailer to check his tickets, and the cashier said, “Oh wow!”

The winning numbers are 4-13-30-35-45-46.  He chose to take the lump sum cash option.

He has no major plans for the prize but said he was looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family.

“I’m just so grateful I’m here to get it and see my kids,” John said.

Hoosier Lotto Overall Odds are 1 in 6. Odds of winning the Hoosier Lotto jackpot are 1 in 9.4 million.
