Terrence Richardson was sentenced to 55 years in the Department of Correction. His co-defendants were found not guilty.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – One of three teenage suspects in a fatal near east side shooting was found guilty of murder Wednesday.

Police found the victim, 17-year-old Steven Kendall II, shot to death in an alley in the 2800 block of East New York Street on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2015.

Detectives believe Kendall was walking with Kaylend Gilbert, Jalen Heffner and Terrence Richardson when one of them took out a gun and shot him. The three teens were each charged with murder.

Following a trial, Richardson was found guilty of murder. Gilbert and Heffner were found not guilty. Richardson will be sentenced on Dec. 1.
