Lockdown at Robey Elementary in Wayne Township lifted, robbery suspect not found

Update: The lockdown at Robey Elementary has been lifted. Police were unable to find the robbery suspect.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Robey Elementary School in Wayne Township is on lockdown as police search for a robbery suspect.

According to IMPD, the robbery occurred this morning at CVS near Crawfordsville Road and Dandy Trail.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a dark sweatshirt and pants, a red mask, a red bag, and armed with a handgun.

K9 officers are trying to track the suspect and the school was placed on lockdown for the protection of the students.
