East side duplex hit by fire; electrical problem suspected

Firefighters were called to an east side double residence shortly after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.

What they found was an apparent electrical fire that had started in the rear of a duplex located in the 2400 block of N. Parker Ave., according to a fire official on the scene. IPL was dispatched to the duplex for further investigation into the cause.

There were no injuries.
