Pike High School student identified as driver killed on Indy’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A Pike High School student was identified as the driver killed in a single car crash on Indy’s northwest side yesterday afternoon.

IMPD was called to the 5900 block of Lafayette Road, south of West 62nd Street, just before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate a crash. When officers arrived, they observed a male who was involved in a single-car accident.

Indianapolis IFD & EMS responded to the scene, and the crash victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was later identified as Kam’ron Redding, 18. He was a student at Pike High School.

There is no further information regarding the crash at this time.
