Police: Victim on far east side was shot in the head

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A man died after a shooting early Wednesday morning on the far east side of Indianapolis.

Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 5:30 a.m. to the 2700 block of Lullwater Lane near 30th Street and North German Church Road where they found a body lying in the street.

According to IMPD, the victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Police have a preliminary identification on the victim but aren’t releasing his name until next-of-kin are notified of his death.

Detectives canvassed the neighborhood for more information about the shooting but don’t have any reliable information about a suspect.
