UPDATE (2/22/18) –  IMPD has found Young guilty for the murder of Margaret Means.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a homeless woman last month.

According to IMPD, Carylon Young, 59, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of Margaret Means on November 18, 2016. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a final charging decision.

Means was found dead in the 1400 block of East Washington Street after a passerby found her body in the corner of an abandoned lot. She was wrapped a blanket covered in blood. Police believe she may have used the lot as a makeshift shelter.

An autopsy revealed she died from multiple sharp force trauma injuries.
