No serious injuries after car crashes into back of school bus on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A car slammed into the back of a Pike Township school bus Wednesday morning, backing up tracking nearby.

The crash happened around 7:40 a.m. in the 5400 block of Lafayette Road. According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police, one student was on the bus. There were no serious injuries from the crash.

IMPD said drivers should expect significant delays on Lafayette Road and urged drivers to use an alternate route.
