INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A former Indiana University football player was arrested once again.

Antonio Allen was a local high school star at Ben Davis before becoming a defensive back at IU. He was dismissed from the football program in June 2015 after he was arrested at his apartment on drug charges.

Allen pleaded guilty to dealing in a narcotic and dealing in methamphetamine. He was sentenced to four years of home detention to be served concurrently on each count.

He transferred to Marian and played in 12 games for the Knights this year. However, he has been suspended from the team following his arrest earlier this month.

According to court documents, Allen was arrested December 2 for robbery/taking property by force or threatening the use of force while armed, criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon and burglary.

The charges come from an incident that allegedly happened in the 8100 block of Century Circle West on the Indy’s north side.

According to court documents, Allen and another man knocked on the victim’s door and forced their way in. They were allegedly looking for a gun that belonged to Allen that he apparently used to threaten the victim’s cousin.

It is unknown at this time whether the terms of his previous sentence will be affected by his most recent arrest.
