BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office held a ceremony Monday morning to award its newest K9 officer his badge.

Sheriff Matthew A. Myers and the K9, Diesel, were joined by Dispatcher Dylan Prather and April Gray, Operations Mgr. of Real World Testing.

Last fall, Prather hearth sheriff’s office was in need of a second K9, so he started collect money. He received an $18,000 check from Real World Testing, which allowed the office to purchase Diesel.

“This simply reemphasizes what a great community we have.  I want to personally thank Dylan, Real World Testing and all who donated to our K9 project,” said Sheriff Myers.
