Skies are clear and temperatures are frigid! The coldest start of the season is underway and there is room to drop even more before sunrise at 8:02am! No record low but dangerous nonetheless…

Bright sun all day will help the effort, as our temperatures move back into the upper teens to near 20°. Additionally, the winds will remain fairly light, so wind chills will not be too harsh.

The next few days will remain fairly quiet with more sunshine and “milder” air building in. In fact, our next chance of precipitation is not to arrive until Thursday and that will come in just a few flurries/snow showers, as the moisture looks to be lacking. The weekend remains “up in the air” in terms of timing and type of precipitation. Models are wanting to push warmer air in by Christmas Day, as rain chances look likely with no white Christmas on tap…look for more updates, as any shift could keep us in the colder air longer!
