INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Metro police have given the all-clear after investigating a bomb threat at the Avondale Meadows YMCA on the northeast side Monday night.
Officers were called to the facility in the 3900 block of Meadows Drive around 8 p.m.
The building was evacuated as police investigated the threat.
Police say an employee saw an item that “looked out of place,” but officers didn’t find anything suspicious.
The YMCA issued a statement following the investigation, saying the facility will reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
YMCA officials say the safety and well-being of their members, guests and staff is their top priority.
