IMPD investigating fatal shooting on west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – IMPD confirmed that they were at the scene of a fatal shooting on the city’s west side Friday.

It was in the 5900 block of Bertha St.

According to police, just after 5:30 p.m., officers arrived to the scene on a report of an unresponsive 32-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The name of the deceased is being withheld at this time until family have been notified.

One person was reportedly detained and witnesses were also located for interviews.
