UPDATE: Man killed in hit-and-run crash identified, police continue search for red Dodge Neon

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the city’s northwest side Tuesday night, and now police are looking for a vehicle that left the scene.

Police were called to the intersection of 52nd Street and Lafayette Road around 7:20 p.m. They found Sultan Ariff, 35, unresponsive and suffering from significant injuries.

He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are now looking for a red 2002 Dodge Neon after witnesses reported seeing the car collide with the motorcycle at the intersection before leaving the scene. The car had Indiana license plate XVQ562 and would have damage on the passenger side, police said.
