INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal crash on the city’s northeast side.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the 6200 block of Knyghton Road between 62nd Street and Binford Boulevard.

Police say one man died after his car left the roadway, and he crashed into rocks. Several neighbors saw the accident and called police.

IMPD says they are not able to determine if the victim crashed as a result of a medical condition, but police say there were no skid marks. Police also say the crash happened before it started raining, and they do not believe the weather played a factor.
