INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A pedestrian was struck and killed on the northeast side of Indianapolis Thursday morning. The accident occurred just after 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Binford Boulevard and East 75th Street.

Police say a car was headed northbound on Binford, and it had the green light. A 29-year-old man crossed eastbound and was struck. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with police. Since it was a fatal crash, police will do a standard blood draw, but they do no suspect impairment at this time.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police were investigating. It has since reopened.
