Coroner’s office identifies man found dead on city’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Metro police are investigating after a body was found on the near northeast side.

Officers were called to the scene in the 3300 block of North Sherman Drive shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

When police arrived, they found an adult male who “had trauma on his body,” according to  an IMPD release. EMS arrived and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 45-year-old Marvin Turner.

Homicide detectives have been called to assist in the investigation.
